How is the daily routine determined?
The movements of the elderly person are registered by a motion sensor in the home and by the elderly person’s mobile phone. This measurement data is used to determine the daily routine.
How many motion sensors are needed in the home?
Basically, one sensor is sufficient. This sensor is placed in a strategic location in the home. This is a place where the elderly person is often present (such as a living/dining room) or a place that is frequently passed (such as a hallway). With an optional extra sensor (for example, in the hallway on the first floor), the daily routine can be determined more accurately.
Do I need a smartphone as an elderly person?
A smartphone is recommended, but not necessary. For registering movements, a sensor is sufficient. The smartphone is also used to determine whether the elderly person is at home or away. If the elderly person does not often leave the house, or if the absence pattern is regular, then a smartphone is not needed.
What does the sensor look like?
The sensor is compact, unobtrusive, and wireless. The sensor is about the size of a matchbox.
Does the system work if the elderly person has a pet?
Movement from pets interferes with the operation of the system. Mantie is therefore intended for people who live alone, without a (live-in) partner or pet.
Do you also provide an alarm button?
We do not supply an alarm button. Mantie is aimed at identifying (abnormalities in) the lifestyle, not at manually reporting incidents by an elderly person. Mantie does its job without being dependent on the elderly person. This makes it a valuable addition to an alarm button.
Does Mantie use a smartwatch?
No, Mantie does not use a smartwatch. We have deliberately chosen a solution that is not dependent on a device that the elderly person has to wear and regularly charge.
Provided service
What service does Mantie provide?
Mantie provides delivery, maintenance, and support for the described system. Caregivers themselves must take action if the system signals a deviation in the daily routine. Mantie does not provide an alarm service and is not a replacement for professional care.
Installation
Who installs the system?
The installation is fully taken care of by Mantie. We will visit you to install and configure the sensor, a box in the meter cupboard, and the apps.
When can the system be installed?
After your approval, we will complete the installation and commissioning within two weeks.
Subscription
What does Mantie cost?
The subscription costs €19.95 per month. This includes maintenance, updates, and support. The one-time installation costs are €195.
What are the return conditions?
you can have the product uninstalled and collected free of charge within three weeks after installation.
What is the cancellation period?
The subscription can be canceled monthly. We have a minimum subscription period of three months. After this period, you can cancel every month.
How can I pay?
You can pay by periodic bank transfer.
